We all watched Emma as she grew along with co-stars Daniel
and Rupert in the legendary Harry Potter series. We saw her as she gracefully transitioned from one phase
to another and we can’t help but love how she became a beauty.
Emma
Charlotte Duerre Watson, the daughter of English lawyers Jacqueline Luesby and
Chris Watson, was born in Paris, France. Her favorite actor is Johnny Depp and her favorite actress is Julia Roberts. Emma was the former roommate and
current best friend of British model Sophie Sumner (if you watched America’s
Next Top Model Cycle 18, you would definitely know her).
Emma is
known in Hollywood as an actress who is fond of portraying literally
characters. Coincidentally (or not), she rose to prominence playing Hermione Granger
in the film adaptation of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter book series. She played
Hermione’s character so well that I was totally buying it to the point where I
forgot her real name and just referred to her as Hermione. I think everyone
experiences this most especially if the actor brings life to the character
really effectively.
Today
though, the actress is ready to move on and has been doing her best to shed her
persona of Hermione Granger. She is determined to shake off the label and even
told a magazine company during one of her interviews that she is prepared to wait
it out even though it takes her years to achieve it. Slowly but surely, she is
breaking away from being Hogwarts’ favorite witch.
Emma
Watson, aside from her acting skills and model features, is also known for her
intelligence. As a matter of fact, she achieved eight A+ and two A passes in
her GCSEs (exams English school pupils take in their last compulsory year of
secondary school). For her tertiary education, she decided to enter the
prominent Brown University. Sadly though, upon her admission to Brown
University came the rumor that Emma Watson was actually being bullied by her
classmates. Later on, following this controversy, Emma told everyone she
dropped out of Brown University so she could concentrate on her acting career
without having to worry about schoolwork. However, it seems there was more to
it. An insider told the New York Daily News that whenever she was in class, she
would participate by correctly answering questions posed by the professor and
making it clear to everyone that she was smart. However, Watson's classmates
would often respond to her answer with a quote from the Harry Potter series.
The most popular choice was "Three points for Gryffindor!"
The
rumored bullying of Emma came as a shock to the public, but (if it was really
true) Emma handled the issue so well and she didn’t let it affect her career.
Furthermore, she continued achieving momentum in the industry, multiplying
along with it her admirers and fans. A few proof of her success are her
consistent appearances for six years in magazines as one of the sexiest,
hottest and most desirable women of today’s generation. She was also named as
the 'Highest Grossing Actress of the Decade' by the Guinness Book of World
Records.
One
trait we could get from Emma is the control and discipline over one's self in
handling difficult situations in life. She has a grace and a levelheadedness
rare amongst former child stars, and is quickly becoming one of Britain's most
exciting leading ladies.
Catch her next on: Noah (March 28,2014) and Your Voice in my Head (no specific date of release yet)
