“I want to do so many things- and maybe someday, a
lot of it would be impossible, but right now I don’t see the impossible.”
Leighton
Marissa Meester sure made one accurate statement. Currently, the American
actress and singer is walking the aisles of Hollywood, bringing with her the
grace and regal air that made people fall in love with her and call her queen.
Leighton
earned a huge percentage of her popularity by playing the role of Blair Waldorf,
the ruling Queen Bee of New York’s Upper East Side. Everyone was amazed as
Leighton took her character to richer and bitchier heights on CW’s Gossip Girl.
With her ultra luxurious wardrobe (and equally glossy lips), Leighton has burst
out of this ensemble as one of the guiltiest pleasures on television.
Leighton
already established her name in the industry as one of the most beautiful faces
that passed by Hollywood’s history. In addition to her sexiness, she speaks
fluent French and entertains herself through creative writing. And another
thing, she loves playing the guitar!
Unfortunately,
Leighton’s past has not been full of rainbows and butterflies. Her mother was
serving time in a federal prison for her involvement in a drug ring that
smuggled Marijuana from Jamaica to the United States while pregnant with her
daughter. Thankfully, she was able to give birth to Leighton in a hospital and
nurse her for three months in a halfway house, before returning to prison to
complete her sentence, after which Leighton’s grandmother cared for her.
Leighton said that people shouldn’t
judge anyone, most especially their parents, for what they have done in the
past because people change. If there’s a thing or two to learn from the
Queen Bee, it’s to practice self-discipline, be more open-minded and nonjudgmental.
Catch her next on: Like Sunday, Like Rain (no date
